I feel myself when I’m meeting amazing people and photographing them to tell a story. I’ve deployed as a military photographer, a humanitarian disaster response photographer and completed many intriguing assignments during my time. This assignment is a highlight for me! To be able to work on this project has given me valuable insight and wonderful connections in the regions gender diverse community. I’ve never really engaged in the ‘trans’ community, since I didn’t really know how I fit in, but this project helped me discover that being a trans man with a camera is a pretty awesome person to be! I’m rarely in front of the camera, so I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who stepped up and worked to find the people represented in Country Roads to Pride. Congratulations to everyone involved and thank you all from me.
